Place a pillow or cushion on a low chair or stool.
Kneel on the pillow or cushion with your operated knee as shown in the first image.
Gradually place more weight on the knee as you feel comfortable. If it is difficult add extra pillows or cushions initially to provide more padding.
Kneel on this to a count of 10 seconds initially.
Repeat 10 times.

Progress this by increasing the time you kneel on the pillow or cushion, removing the cushion or pillow (second image) and placing more weight through the knee.
You can progress this exercise by kneeling on the floor.
In the same way, use a pillow or cushion if this helps as shown in the first image.

You can progress this exercise by removing the pillow or cushion as shown in the second image.
Kneel for a count of 10 seconds initially.
Repeat 10 times.
You can progress this further by swaying your weight on the operated knee as able, again respecting your pain.
