Changes can be made to your workplace to improve accessibility and mobility.

These can include:
- Working from home to start with before returning to the workplace later in your recovery.
- Allocated parking could be provided that is closer to your place of work.
- Providing instruction and direction about specific work tasks. For example, that there should be no lifting of heavy items such as cash bags in a bank or post office environment or using lifts instead of stairs to access work areas.
- Arranging taxis to allow access to the workplace for those employees that are unable to drive initially or change working hours to allow the employee to get a lift from a colleague or family member.
- Allowing you to return to work in a supernumerary capacity initially until you feel able to return to your full previous role.
- Relocation to a different worksite closer to home.
